World Chinese Business Week (Dubai) and the Second Double Bay Forum concluded successfully

Under the guidance and support of the Chinese Embassy and Consulate in the UAE, the “World Chinese Business Week (Dubai) and the Second Double Bay Forum” event, hosted by the UAE Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry and sponsored by Tomorrow World, was grandly held in Dubai today. The conference attracted more than 600 Chinese business leaders, entrepreneurs and government officials from 29 countries and regions around the world to actively participate. This event is not only an important platform for global Chinese business exchanges and cooperation, but also marks the further deepening of China-UAE economic and cultural cooperation.

The event brought together important guests from China and the UAE, including His Excellency Thani, Minister of Foreign Trade of the UAE, Prince Sheikh Mur, an important member of the royal family of Dubai, UAE, Abdullah, Undersecretary of the UAE Ministry of Economy, His Excellency Zhang Yiming, Chinese Ambassador to the UAE, His Excellency Ou Boqian, Consul General of China in Dubai, Dr. Cai Guoshen, Member of the Standing Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and Chairman of the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong, and other important leaders. The event discussed the future development of China-UAE economy and the economic cooperation between the two bays through keynote speeches, the Greater Bay Area and the Gulf Forum, and sub-forums such as finance, smart manufacturing, health care, education, and real estate.

At the opening ceremony of the conference, President Tang Zhengang said that as the China-Afghanistan Cooperation Council is about to celebrate its first anniversary, it provides an opportunity for Chinese entrepreneurs to exchange ideas and share resources. This is a platform that paves a solid road for future cooperation. We look forward to Chinese businessmen from all over the world joining in this great event.

Dr. Cai Guoshen delivered speeches and keynote speeches for the Chinese Business Week and the Greater Bay Forum respectively. As China-Arab relations continue to warm up, the friendship between the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the UAE and the Gulf region is also deepening. Now is the best opportunity to talk about the future together.

Abdullah, Undersecretary of the UAE Ministry of Economy, who had just concluded his visit to the Greater Bay Area, said in his speech that there is huge potential for cooperation between the UAE and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. By sharing expertise and resources, the two sides can promote trade, drive innovation, and create sustainable solutions for our economies.

Consul General Ou Boqian pointed out that Chinese businessmen are the bridge for China to go global, and overseas Chinese have also contributed to the achievements of China’s reform and opening up. Chinese businessmen around the world have always been in the same boat with China’s development and have played an important role in China’s modernization drive.

Regarding this event, Supervisory Director Bu Yanfang of the A-Zhong Association, representative of the title sponsor Tomorrow World Real Estate Group Su Xiaopo, Vice President of the China Association of Small and Medium Enterprises Ma Bin, and Chairman of the Overseas Returnees Mutual Aid Association Zhang Jiang were all full of expectations for the future development and cooperation of the commercial sector.

The subsequent forum session conducted in-depth exchanges on the complementarity of economic and trade cooperation between the Bay Area and the Greater Bay Area, cooperation opportunities in potential areas, and the trends and challenges of Chinese companies going overseas. In order to let more people understand the economic cooperation of the Bay Area and promote the development of the two countries and two parks, Tang Zhengang, President of the Arab-Chinese Association, proposed to hold the third Bay Area Forum in Guangzhou, China next year. Chairman Cai Guoshen responded positively to this topic in his speech, and hoped that the joint organization of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao and the Arab-Chinese Association would more effectively promote the implementation and development of corporate cooperation in the two bays.

At the closing dinner of the conference, Executive President Song Hong emphasized that as long as we uphold integrity, work together, face challenges and seize opportunities, we will surely play an important role on the global stage of Chinese businessmen and promote the sustainable development of our own country and the host country. This is also the original intention of the Arab-China General Chamber of Commerce to hold this conference.

Tomorrowland representative, Ms. Xinyue, who is Egyptian, repeatedly expressed in her speech that she has been convinced that China is her second home since she started learning Chinese, and that she has always wanted to work in an excellent Chinese company. Now, not only has her wish come true, but she has also been able to meet more than 600 Chinese businessmen, proving that the influence of overseas Chinese in the world is gradually increasing.

Minister Sani highly recognized the contribution of private enterprises in the UAE. Chinese entrepreneurs have played a vital role in the economic and trade exchanges between China and the UAE. He hoped that the UAE-China General Chamber of Commerce could continue to play the role of a bridge and provide greater support for the future cooperation and development between the two countries.

Ambassador Zhang Yiming fully affirmed the achievements made by the UAE-China Business Council over the past year and said: This World Chinese Entrepreneurs Week has built a platform for everyone to understand the UAE and find UAE partners. We welcome everyone to visit frequently and make the UAE a base for career development.

Prince Moore personally presented the “Xiangyun Medal to Celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between China and Afghanistan and Witness the 30 Years of Brilliance in Afghanistan” to representatives of overseas Chinese who have lived in Afghanistan for more than 30 years, commending their outstanding contributions to promoting China-Afghanistan friendly cooperation and the development of overseas Chinese. The award ceremony became one of the climaxes of the event, demonstrating the deep friendship and cooperation between China and Afghanistan.

In addition, a series of wonderful performances and lucky draws were held during the event, which demonstrated the cultural integration and artistic charm of China and the UAE, enhanced the friendship between the two peoples, and strengthened the cohesion of overseas Chinese businessmen in various countries. In the future, Chinese businessmen around the world will work together in a more open international environment to make new and greater contributions to promoting global economic prosperity and cultural exchanges.
